Only the board crapped out, apu, ram, psu are all going fine with a new board. Still have to fix the burnt plug, but it still plugs in fine and has been fine for 3/4 of a year.
Best of luck, hopefully its only the board!
Out of curiosity, what cpu, and whats the phase count/quality on the board? Its definitely something I've been doing more homework on before board purchases.
Its an i7 860, the board was a Biostar T5 XE 6 phase (4 phase CPU, 2 Phase VTT)

haha ya since it was at work! lol
Also, its possible it was user error and the plug just wasnt in far enough, but I cant be sure as it seemed in there when I unplugged it. I wasn't even overclocking very much (3.3ghz if i recall) when it happened as I had been having stability issues and wanted it to last while I was on vaca.
So I am in the market for a decent 1156 mobo if anyone has one...
