I have to apologize, as I don't really even know how to ask the right questions in order to understand what's going on. But what I'm grasping is that because because my core voltage is too low, the CPU ends up failing and that's when I get a BSOD? Is this conceptually accurate?
yes you are correct. when the cpu operates at a higher frequency it'll require more voltage to remain stable.

I will implement that as soon as I get home from work. Can I ask what exactly that does? And the "bumps" are the smallest increments that the bios allows me to raise, is that correct?
I've actually not utilized prime95, at all. I'm sure that is unadvised, I just don't quite understand what it does. Can you elaborate on what I do to stress test with it?

prime95 is how you see if your really stable just using windows wont tell you much.

Thread Starter
Ok so far so good guys. Thanks for the help.
Things seem fine under the Prime95 torture test. Haven't seen anything go above 81. Haven't done a 24 hour test though, but I'm seeing the same temps at 30-60 mins as I did at 5-6 hours.

if its making it 60mins thats a good start.
