Question - BF4 Beta vs Official BF4 Graphics/Performance

I played the BF4 Beta on my 2600k @ 4.4 and 780 @ 1215mhz and it was pretty stuttery. It couldn't hold 60fps all that long even with a combination of high/ultra settings with FXAA. Don't get me wrong, it was very much playable, but it was far from being smooth.

The graphics were underwhelming, combined with stutter it seemed worse than BF3. I was thinking about picking up BF4, but seeing how it's not smooth and graphics are not up to par, I'm hoping that's because it's the beta. Has the official game improved on the graphics and drivers for smoother gameplay?

Yes it has of course, I am not sure why you would let the fact that a 'beta' would make you reconsider buying the game. I have a GTX780 also, the drivers and game optimizations made since the beta build from 3 months ago, have been improved immensely. There is still room for a slight improvement, and wish I had faster memory and CPU to improve my FPS, but am happy as far as GPU goes.

You CPU is a little newer than my 930 i7, so we are bottle necked with the i7/GTX780 your memory will also be very important with BF4. for High setting and over it seems that 8GB 1600hz memory would be a minimum. Having built 2 systems with GTX780s and 1600hz I have 12GB 1600hz, faster mem will definitely improve FPS reducing bottlenecks and taking a good advantage of Frostbite 3's memory streaming.

Thanks, I guess I just meet the minimum requirements on the RAM part, but glad to hear it improved greatly from beta. How does it compare visually from BF3?

IF you can run high setting or better there are many visual and audio improvements. Sun rays through trees, smoke dust and rain. Particle effects on water. Low flying jets make a sick tail fly up form water and dirt. Its all great. Don't miss out. ^_^

Well, I was just worried because of how awful beta performed on my 780. All ultra/high/med I had some sort of stuttering, so I'm just worried I might have the same problem with official version.
