Quick upgrade question regarding whether or not to upgrade/add RAM

Hey guys, I'm going to pick a GTX 780 and I was thinking of picking up some more RAM as well. Question is should I bother going up to 16 gigs of RAM on a gaming rig? I currently have 8 gbs (4x2 of this g.skill) I also want to do a relatively tame overclock on my CPU which is a i7 2600k, thinking of going for 4.4/4.5ghz, mobo is a Asus P8P67 Pro. should I bother with the ram? Does having 2 sticks of 8gb ram help me out or is it okay to have all the slots full like I do now? I ask because of the oc I don't know if it makes a difference. Thanks for any advice.

Well you have 8gb and that is enough for pretty much anything unless you want to run many programs in the background (which is stupid since it kills performance in games).
Having all slot's populated may decrease max clock a little, but I run 4.6ghz with all slots populated just fine. So it's nothing to worry about unless you really want to squeeze every bit of cpu power out.

I went to 16gb just because but i have not seen any improvements over 8gb. Some members will state that having 4 dimms full instead of two will make it harder to achieve a higher OC but it didn't seem to effect my OC at all nor make it harder going from 4.5 to 4.6ghz. If you have the extra money then go for it.
