Looks nice. Curious on the why you are going with the 7970 instead of any of the new cards from either two giants? Not planning in going SLI/Crossfire in the future (750w)?

More of a money issue. I'd like a bigger and better card, but the 7970 ghz is within my price range. I don't really plan on Crossfire this rig yet. I'm going to let the dust settle and my budget recoup before I consider adding a bigger PSU or more cards to it. (Had the 750w PSU from an RMA that i never reinstalled)

This is a replacement build for the one that got stolen out of my house a few months ago. Not only will it be a massive upgrade from the stolen rig but it should hold me over from upgrades for a year or so... maybe. wink.gif

Why not one of the 280x cards... rebranded 7970s anyways... and cheaper. Giving you a little extra to spend on something else.

Hmmm, How about the Sapphire TXSR R9 280x?

That doesn't seem bad. If you want the best the Asus one and the Toxic version seems to be the best ones or should I say popular ones.

This is more of a curiosity question, but why the M95 over say the M65? I'm guessing you play a lot of MMORPGs, or want the additional buttons? I'm mainly curious since it doesn't seem like that much of a common choice around here, but I absolutely LOVE mine. Takes a bit to get used to the thumb positions though.

I had the m65. And I ran out I buttons. I play a lot of CS:GO. I have grenade binds, strafe toggles, view model binds, VoIP binds as well as in game bound to my mouse. Well that's what I want. I didn't have enough buttons on the m65 to do all of that.
Makes sense. I'm not going to deny, it's nice to have 8 buttons around your thumb in a fairly convenient pattern that isn't that hard to get muscle memory going. Why do I say 8 instead of the 9 that are actually there? Mainly because the front most button is configured out of the box to be the "sniper mode" button, and I've kept it that way (it's nice to have a sudden drop from 3600 down to 400.
