This is the most insufficient request i ever came upon.

1] what socket?
2] for what purpose?
3]overcloking or not?
4] haswell or any generation will do?

Please all, when you have a question provide us with the basics..

1 I will get a motherboard according to the proper socket, right now I haven't been up to date with all of the released chips from intel.
2 gaming, music, movies
3 not at the moment
4 newer the chip the better, looking for newer generation of intel chips if possible.

thanks for the reply

The most current cpu family for intel is haswell. The 4670k / 4770k fits to that price range. Only difference is the 4770k has hyperthreading and the other does not. From your uses mentioned the 4670k is going to be best bang/buck unless you find a really good deal. Games, music listening, movie watching won't really use hyperthreading.

Both of these cpus will overclock, however prices for the non overclocking equivalents (like the regular 4770) are only marginally cheaper. Even budget overclockable boards can offer you a sizable boost of performance for minimal money. Also depending on your graphic card choices (if your gaming requires it) you'll have more options, especially if you sli/crossfire.

not a bad price

There are a huge amount of motherboard bundles as well. Probably the way to buy.
