Blizzard Entertainment is fairly good about staying tight-lipped about their products until they have been released, but today we got word that Blizzard has filed for a trademark in Australia and New Zealand, it is unknown if they have filed for the trademark in the US yet. According to Intellectual Property Australia, Blizzard Entertainment has filed for a trademark for the words "Warlords of Draenor". Which is likely to be the name of the next World of Warcraft expansion. We likely wont know more about this until late next week.

I hope we at least get some news or teasers on Titan this year at Blizzcon. A general release date or start date for Heroes of the Storm beta would be nice too. I have been in every Blizzard closed beta since Cataclysm, so I'm hoping that I get in that too.

hmm. I thought MoP was their last expansion. Didn't they come out and state that just after its release?
No, there will most definitely be more expansions as long as they keep selling and making profits!

WOW is still a huge cash cow and I fully expect them to milk every ounce out of her.

I want to say their timeline had the next expansion being the last and Titan releasing sometime in 2014, but that has obviously changed now that they scrapped Titan last year and restarted. Who knows where they are at with Titan though. The next expansion wont release until Fall 2014 and that will have its normal 2 year run, hopefully they can have Titan ready in that timeframe.

The problem is that Blizzard have too many eggs in one basket with WoW. The MMO will never go under until they have a replacement, Titan was meant to be that replacement but the supposed shift in demographics and subscription tariffs that've been going around the MMO genre lately have prompted Bliz to scrap Titan, re-assign half the team to WoW and D3 and they'll probably try to keep them alive longer until they can release Titan.

So, it's going to be another cataclysmic F* up when they re-do Outland to be more boring and lore breaking? I can see nothing good coming from this !

Honestly outlands was the best expansion to date. Although the last few major MoP brought life back to the game. If they continue that back into a new expansion WoW could bring some life back into the mmo genre. Along with Titan hopefully lol if it even exists

OT : Sadly, these games never die, even if they kill their franchise. Look at Runescape. TBH, I get it. I wouldn't stop milking a concept that makes me millions a year either.

I didn't say there was a problem really. I was just commenting on the fact that about 80% of the news posts I've clicked through in the last few days have had a camo bandanna next to them.

I gave up on WoW early this year. I was hooked for a good 6 years. I would really like to see the amazing talent they have at that company put into a new MMO. You know everyone playing WoW now will migrate over, I'm not sure how they will go about it though. Sub based games are a thing of the past. They would have a very hard time getting people that are not already paying for WoW to try it out. I'm sure they could fund it just fine by selling novelty items like mounts, pets etc for real money and people would be more than happy to pay for them. As long as they are not selling items that make you stronger in game it would work.

I think altough expensive a monthly sub based MMO is still the best, this way they can keep generating alot of content aswell as no pay2win stuff.

Also i think after MoP there was supposed to be 2 more expansions but we'll pretty much know when the last expansion is since it has to follow the warcraft lore. Unless they all of the sudden start adding to it.

And Blizzard has always stated that Titan wouldn't be a replacement for WoW since it aims at a more casual audience. Tough i don't really know if thats true since WoW has been build more towards casual in the last few years.

i guess we'll see next weekend what the real deal is.
The Dark Below was apparently a hoax done by someone other than Blizzard. Warlords of Draenor was actually done by Blizzard under computer game software. An expansion similar to TBC has been the most common guess since MoP has been released.
