I actually am using the BIOS. The Intel utility is just for reference, and it shows me the default cpu cache ratio per increase in multiplier, and hopefully other useful things.
I'm on a Asus Z87i-Deluxe.
I'm trying to get past test 8 of Prime95 by adding vcore, which I expect to be reflected in the temps, and I think anything below 90c is fine, but I could be wrong. I'm really stumped on this. I don't know what explains suddenly defaulting to stock speeds, and vcore having little affect on temps. I know Haswell is very different and maybe that's it, but I haven't seen others experiencing this. Or is it the Haswell way to default to stock speeds instead of BSOD'n? I have had a few BSODs, but not with the current settings.Edited by ooostephen - 11/2/13 at 2:31pm
