Need new VC to complete build. 3GB or 2GB memory?

Build is complete except new video card. I will only be gaming on a 1080p single monitor, nothing more. I want to play BF4 on ultra. So is there any reason to go with 3GB vram over 2GB for my use? I did read BF4 likes more memory but my resolution will be 1920x1080.

I was looking at the EVGA 3GB 660 at newegg but I am wondering if I would even benefit from the 3GB memory?

Or should I get one of the better cards at 2 GB memory? Any suggestions would help, thanks.

I would get a 7950/7970/280X. 3 GB of VRAM and Mantle will be here soon to give it a nice performance boost in BF4.

Thanks guys. Looking at those 7900s suggestions I think that is the ticket.

My other option just came up. My friend is getting a new $600 card and has offered to sell me his Nvidia card for $200 it's in great condition I know how he takes care his stuff.

It's the EVGA 670 FTW Signature 2 card. Here is the link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130843

That version of 670 seems like a good price.

checking newegg it would seem you can have a 7970 for as low as 310, whether or not thats worth it over the 7950 is up you. I'd say it is. though the 670 is also pretty nice a deal.

I wouldn't recommend a 2GB card with next gen consoles and games launching. a new HD 7950 with 3 free games is selling for USD 245. anyway if you are set on getting the GTX 670 try and drive a better bargain, say around USD 180. thumb.gif
