Does that come in wired form?

No wired option unfortunately, although I have not experienced any lag. It runs off 1 or 2 AA batteries. You can adjust the weight and balance of the mouse by using one battery in either slot. I use 1 AA in the right side slot and the balance is perfect for me.

Looks like I will be returning my g500s. There is a noticeable high pitched ringing sound. Been wondering what it was and figured out its the mouse. Read some reviews and found others with the same problem.

Back the square one it looks like.

Bumping this, I ended up returning the mouse for the ringing sound. Got another one and that one was quieter, but I still couldn't get used to the center thumb button and the way I hold the mouse made it difficult to easily swap dpi modes, I had to awkwardly reach my finger over. So I returned that one too.

Need a good finger grip mouse..

If I could find one for a reasonable price, I would just buy another G5, but all the sellers want a ridiculous amount for them for some reason.

Thinking of trying out the g400s. Its optical, but it has the same thumb buttons as the g5. Only thing Im not sure of is the dpi buttons. Not sure about reaching over the wheel.
