Is a 2600k still a viable CPU to fold bigadv units with?

Hey guys, been out of the folding game for a couple years now and am looking to get back into it. I was just wondering if a 2600k was still a good CPU to fold with and get pretty good ppd results? What am I look at for the maximum ppd I can get with this CPU? Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, the intel quads cant do -bigadv anymore....

Its takes a 4.5ghz+ hex, or a 2/4p rig.

but, the 2600k is stilll no slouch! @ 4.6ghz you should get 25-30k ppd folding v7 in windows. a bit more in linux.

fold-on-gpu=true tongue.gif

I usually use client-type=advanced, max-packet-size=small and next-unit-percentage=100. Where only, probably, the client-type option have an affect on which unit you'll get.
