Need Help With My New Ram!

Thread Starter
I'm very sorry if this isn't the right forum for this, but I really need help with my new RAM. I just bought an 8gb stick of corsair vengeance RAM for my MacBook to go with the 2gb already in there. I run 64 bit windows 7 ultimate on my macbook . The problem is that I can't get windows to use all the ram. It caps out a 3.9gb and I need to use all 10gb or at least 9 of my RAM. I already unchecked the limiting box in MS config. Any other possible solutions?

How much Ram is shown in the bios?

Try the 8GB stick on it's own and see what it says then.
