Ips or Lcd/LED 120hz

Hello.. i've been searching to buy a new monitor and i really cant make up my mind and i would like some suggestions.
I am... not a casual gamer but not a hardcore gamer either, somewhere to the middle(closer to Hgamer). Last years i have been playing games like wow/lol
and from times to times CS.
I am also watching lot of series...

So i am between ASUS VG248QE or BenQ XL2411T about 120hz+low ms
and between Eizo Foris FS2333 or Dell UltraSharp U2312HM for IPS monitors.

Few years ago i was only fps gamer so i can still notice the differences between the monitos but i dont mind anymore since i almost dont play fps games...

Are the IPS monitors so satysfying that u wont mind the lower hz?
Is the difference So big?

Or the hz arent so much noticable so its a clearly if u are an fps gamer ?

Thanks..

it depends on your GPU and CPU if you can manage to get 120hz or not. but anyhow it's a rather subjective question and you will get different answers from everyone. my opinion is that IPS and 1440p is a better choice most of the time. if you play competitive 120hz might make a difference, but if you like to enjoy the beauty of games AND series IPS is better

Do both! Go for 2560x1440 IPS 110hz+ for $300!

How about the Eizo FG2421?
There's been a bunch of good reviews.

-- TN-like response
-- IPS-like colors
-- Better contrast (5000:1) than IPS
-- Turbo240 is reportedly as good as "LightBoost"
-- No LightBoost color degradation, you get great colors on a strobe backlight monitor.

Turbo240 is EIZO's marketing term for their strobe backlight, EIZO's own version of "LightBoost".

The FG2421 is a true 120Hz VA monitor with far better viewing angles than TN, according to Morkai of HardForum (Lagom viewing angles photo):

He reports he has seen IPS panels worse than this VA panel for color shifts.

VA panels are fantastic. They have decent pixel response time, better black levels than IPS or TN (you'll easily notice this in dark scenes and movies), and great color reproduction. The strobed backlight and half overdriven/double refresh means motion will be really clear. Aside for 1080p resolution (which isn't that bad for the size, really), that one is pretty much the perfect monitor.

Only 1 problem... it's expensive right now. When bigger 1440p overclockable IPS monitors are $300, it's hard to pay $500 or $600 for the Eizo.
