I only listen to electronic music so i would like to have headphones that have 0 sound quality and just bass. I was looking at the Sony xb 700 but realized that its almost $300 for the damn thing so if you have any other headphones that you would like to recommend regarding to something that have the same quality as the Sony xb 700 or better for a price range between $100-$200 then please share your opinion.
P.S sorry if I put this thread in the wrong forum. cheers.gif

You could check out the Audio Technica ATH-M50 if you're into bass. I personally didn't like them much for the genres I listen to, but for electronic music, they're great performers. Both in sound quality and bass, the M50 should easily edge out the XB700, and you can find them for under $150.

There's also the Ultrasone HFI-580 at near the same price. They have cleaner (but less) bass and are more balanced overall.

See comparison: http://www.head-fi.org/t/531691/review-ath-m50-vs-hfi-580-vs-sr-80

My choice would be the Beyerdynamic DT770, which is closer to $200. They're a lot more comfortable (especially for home use) and they have better sound quality overall and are still great for bass.

I own the ATH-M50 and Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80 headphones either one could be a good choice if they don't need to be portable and you can afford it the DT770 Pro 80 would be my first choice (i got my pair used at Guitar Center for $80 in vg condition) holiday specials are starting it seemed the M50 headphones have come down again some in price to $130~ from $150 at amazon now... they have sometimes dropped down to about $99 (which is when i bought mine).... blah blah depending on the hurry you are in you may find some deals in the next two months here.

sort of crazy idea but if you need something you could grab a pair of the JVC HA-RX700 $40~ right now

http://www.amazon.com/JVC-HARX700-Precision-Sound-Headphones/dp/B0013OWPV4/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1383766882&sr=1-1&keywords=ha-rx700

and then use them as back ups when something better comes on sale.... I own the HA-RX700 (mine cost more like $33 however) and they really are rather good for the low price they sell for

another good interim / backup headphone choice could be the monoprice dj headphones (8323) $23~

http://www.monoprice.com/Product?seq=1&format=2&p_id=8323&CAWELAID=1329456795&catargetid=320013720000010634&cadevice=c&cagpspn=pla&gclid=CK__teH10LoCFWJBQgoda1cAlA

these being much more portable then the jvc's ... but blah blah blah something cheap for now then wait out the Black Friday (other holiday deals).... and or keep an eye out for used my DT 770 are in really good shape and full of win for $80
