I can belive it that a 4930K bottlenacks a xfire.
Why should this happen? As it is noticeable?
Intel overclocking is easy biggrin.gif

http://youtu.be/_GR5_X1CfUA

Bottleneck will depend on overclock but will not be an issue as far as games are a concerned

Welp i'm having some issues.

I made some mistakes and i'm having to redo my OC now. I've managed to get everything working again including stability BUT my voltage is fixed at 1.296v. I can't seem to get it lower itself even when the CPU frequency is below 4.7GHz which is what it was previously doing and was really sweet. On the brightside, I finally bothered to manually implement my OC in the bios so messing everything up finally got me off my bum.

How do I fix this?

Define stable ?

The chance that you have a 4930k that run 4.7 Ghz at 1,29V stable, is very small.
after running my 4820k @ 4804mhz with 1.44vcore for about 3 or 4 months or so I ran into a bunch of issues with stability, bsod, pc restarting in the middle of doing something, games crashing, etc.

Downclocked it to previous 4.6ghz settings with offset volts and was failing LinX testing with errors. I figured I killed it with voltage so I ended up using my intel PTPP and got a new CPU, reinstalled windows too and back to a nice safe 4.4ghz with offset voltage @ 1.2vcore and llc on level 5 (lowest for my board).

Prime 95 and nothing I do is causing BSODs. I'm sure if I do 24 hours of stress testing i'll managed to cause a BSOD but that's pretty obvious given i'd probably damage the CPU in the process. If my CPU can handle 30 minutes-2 hours of significant stress testing nothing else I will ever be doing is going to come close to that.

Well yah, on air you shouldn't be above 1.4v. Mehistaub recommends below 1.3v and I trust that.

24h+ Prime then you will never ever have BSOD again smile.gif Ok set your Vcore littel more higher end test again.

For Ivy E 1,4V max under water and 1,3V on air.
I'm on air.

I haven't had any BSODs as I don't push my 4930k that hard for extensive periods of time. +I don't want to damage my processor with extensive stress testing.

I think your CPU will be stabil with 4.4 -4.5 at 1.3V mabye smile.gif
Prime 95 for 2 hours, then you will see if it works.
Stability of the overclock isn't my issue here though. I've yet to have 4.7 @ 1.296v fail on me. I'll do a two hour run some other time with my current settings. 24 hours i'm likely never going to do.

What are the stock settings on an 4930k? Vcore, PLL, PCH 1.1/1.5, VCCSA, etc...?
