Best so far. Everything on auto.LOl. 5ghz and ram @ 2666
http://valid.canardpc.com/290cdz

Wish there was a way to read what all the auto settings were actually utilizing so I could figure out exactly what I'm missing with my manual oc.

Exactly. 1.4v is the point at which you should consider whether it's worth it to go higher and how much higher you are comfortable going.

Didn't Intel list 1.4 as the absolute max for Sandy Bridge-e, too? I take their published specs with a grain of salt.

That's not to say you should wantonly exceed the published "max" voltage, just that it's not set in stone. Consider carefully, then proceed with caution, that's all. smile.gif

It is somewhat stable. Haven't fully tested, but 4.875@ 1.46v completes cinebench for -1312. I have my 24/7 setup. I'm just looking for a good bench setting, which may not be 100% stable, but will complete benches. Even though it is debatable for having over 1.4v for long periods, I'm happy with 4.8 @ 1.4v for 24/7. biggrin.gif
Also that ram is actual only rated for 2000mhz. 2666 @ 1.68v is awesome.

Actually the best way to stress IVY-E if you are going to use p95 at all is to first set rounding and checksum under "Advanced", then select Custom, 5 min per FFT, and at least 50% of ram committed. Blend is too gentle and takes days to reveal instability. Shorter FFT times covers more of the chip architecture faster.,

Hotrod! That's fantastic! I've been reluctant to go higher than 1.52V but feel better now ! thumb.gif
As far as "max safe voltage". The Intel spec for IVY-E is published for OEM compliance and bulk manufacturing AOS. I ran, and still do run my SB-E at 1.58V for 5050MHz ... nearly a year. This is OCN. doh.gif
Just buy the INtel protection plan and light 'er up!

regarding "Auto"... with the exception of a few basic OC settings (sleep states, CPU PLL etc) that's been my finding too. Seems that when I try to tune phasing or current it bombs. This first release bios is very buggy. Using AID64 memory bench, at times by Write speed drops by 1/3 (69000 -> 44000) and I have to cold boot with a bios reset to restore performance. Clearly Asus needs to publish a fix!

Thanks! That was a quick validation. Still testing. 4.875 with 125 strap and 1.46v all auto. Have my mem at 2666. I've been looking at monitoring and it's been enlightening as to what vcssa and cpu vtt are maxing at. This is where I'm at now.
http://valid.canardpc.com/vxg3vu

I'm going to use strap to slowly work my way up. I'm real interested to see how far I can push these Flares. as long as temps stay in check, I agree, light 'er up!

Already done brother! thumb.gif I'm sure I'll be posting better in the future. I just set the speed and left everything on auto. My timings aren't that tight, but for what these are rated at.... I'm blown away. Sometimes you just need to start fresh. I was trying to move too fast. I'm just taking it slow and analyzing all the info and then trying some new stuff based on the readings. VTT CPU is maxing - 1.29v and VCSSA is maxing - 1.312v on auto.
