Possible new build/down size - suggestions please

Was thinking of trying to shrink my system down a bit, or possibly build a new one. These are what I am looking at so far, but I have no idea what's what in the SFF arena. I just picked random stuff from reviews so suggestions are welcome.

rest of the parts would be whats in my current rig, but prob put the CPU on air and only the GPU on H2O
seems like the sff 1155 board's are starting to thin-out a bit too

or a new AMD build (just because it has been awhile)

I'm going to be doing the same thing with my 2600K. I've already got the Fractal Design Define Mini and going to go with either the Asus MAXIMUS V GENE or the ASRock Z77 Professional-M. The Biostar that you linked is not a good board for your 2500K because it will not allow you to overclock. I'd recommend a Z77 board and the ones I linked have great VRM cooling which will help for your OC'ing.

I'm assuming you are using your current 2500K CPU which is not compatible with Z87 boards since those are LGA1150 boards and your 2500K is an LGA1155 processor. You will need a Z77 board or older model for your CPU.

I'm an idiot, I must have picked the wrong check box. you are absolutely correct

on a side note
i cannot stand the fatality line of stuff, but seems to be one of the best options out there right now.

To be honest, I'm in the same boat as you. I'm moving my build down and it looks like the Fatality board is a great board for the price but I keep wanting to go with the Asus MAXIMUS V GENE and also been looking at the Gigabyte G1.SNIPER M3 but both are pretty pricey.

I saw that gigabite one and to me it just screams Nvidia lol
I do not mind Nvidia, I just am not into flashy boards if possible. The red/green combo of my AMD card w that mobo would be quite x-mas'y though biggrin.gif
