As for the psu. Jumping from 550w to 750 (tx550 to tx750 v2) is only a few buck more. Psu is the main source so a strong one is good to have. Not to mention later on if he wanna upgrade and resale, it gonna be hard to do it with a 550w. On the safe side of overclocking you really need dependable power resource. That will rest ur mind and focus on something else as overcloking is sensitive and you dont want to check all the components when it fails and then the last thing you ever suspect is the psu, but it was the 1 which cause trouble

More power does not equal better. A 750w power supply is useless unless you run two over volted graphics cards. 550w supplies enough power for one overvolted graphics card+ anything else you put in. Buying a 750w power supply when your computer could run perfectly fine on a 550w power supply is a disadvantage because the power supply will not have to work very hard to supply the voltage required for the pc to run and therefore it will be inefficient and more expensive to run.

regarding SSD, you won't notice difference in windows experience or in gaming performance, everyone knows safer and better to run single ssd then 2 in raid, unless he want to have some benchmarks scores maybe have some work like video editing or exporting files in huge capacity then The raid will be good idea otherwise single ssd better choice for a gamer

for price I don't know where you found that but I OP did decide to go with samsung evo pro so here is price for 128gb x2 vs 256gb

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA2W00ZD1548 149$ for 128GB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147193 210$ for 256GB and before discount 250$ still lower cost then 2x149$

applaud.gif just what I wanted to say
OEM is all what matters in psu , he must think now and decide he will go sli or not, coz few $ on psu and few $ on mobo for sli or not sli, see it will matter
