You missed out on a deal yesterday:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?SID=ETsUNk-tEeOxHVouri_SnAvY-3_olmn3_CyP_0_0&AID=10440897&PID=1225267&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-cables-_-na-_-na&Item=N82E16814202001&cm_sp=

They were on sale for $220. I bought two and will be updating my 6870s. 280xs are no where near that price. Buy the 7970s while they still exist as they are basically firesaling them to move inventory.

Ok, my new gpus finaly came today, woooohoooooo!!!! I have also gone ahead and picked up a upgrade copy of windows 8.1 pro im running 7 pro at the moment. Im going to do some tests with the r9 280x's in crossfire under 7pro then do the same under 8.1pro. i keep hearing that the gpu's are working realy well under the new 8.1 pro. i will post some results here in a few days if anyone is interested. If there is a good bump in gpu performance i will go 8.1 on my desktop and my lappy.
