I don't think it's worth to get i7-870 since most of my games don't use HT and the cost of this CPU is around 140 euro at our local "ebay" which is hilarious.

yea it is kinda pricey but that goes with old hardware you could get a 2600k for almost the same price and a board for 100-150.

I'm in the same boat ,although the performance I'm getting @ 4.2 ghz suffices for now , I have been looking at new cpu's aswell.

Broadwell seems nice.

But I'm gonna stick with my i5 for a while since it's still capable with Battlefield 4.
