Noctua NH-U14S or be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 2?

Hi.

Cant decide between the Noctua NH-U14S and be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 2

I will be using an Asus Hero motherboard with 4770k in a Fractal Design R4 case. Im going to overclock the processor, but at the same time want a quiet system. Both coolers seem to get good reviews, so which one would you prefer?

NH-U14S gets my vote.

The Dark Rock Pro 2 competes with super coolers like the NH-D14, Silver Arrow, and Phanteks PH-TC14PE. Fittingly it is also similarly priced. In my opinion, it is in another league. The NH-U14S is good but the similarly priced SilverStone Heligon HE01 is better

If the Noctua NH-U14S looked like Dark Rock Pro 2, there'd be nothing to talk about.

Performance-wise the Noctua probably is slightly better, but I'm going to be a bit shallow and say DRP2. rolleyes.gif

Use the one you like the most. Both are good coolers. U14S is slightly better cooling (some say the best cooler now), DRP2 is a black beauty.. and both are about same noise level.
