Direct3D Issue with switchable Graphics, please help!

Hello Everyone,

I have been running Windows 8, but since a Upgrade to Windows 8.1 something very strange happened. At this point I have to say, all my drivers are up to date from HP, and by the way my system sepcs:

I5 3210m, Intel HD 4000 integrated + HD 7670m NON-Manual switchable.

Furthermore, I will state that I canot install any new AMD Drivers on my GPU, since the HP drivers are customized, which is hopefully not a problem.

Now the new drivers from HP are made for Windows 8.1, as suggested on their drivers Website. Since upgrading to Windows 8.1 however, I have a very unique Problem. Whenever I launch a game running in Power-Saving mode throu Catalyst Control Center, therefore using the HD 4000, everything seems fine. But as everybody knows, the performance cannot nearly reach the Hd 7670m's power. Now when I start Diablo 3 for example in High-Performance mode, therefore using the HD 7670m, a message appears:

Click to retry creating 3d3 device.

I have googelt this and found out that there seems to be a common problem with this error and Diablo 3, but nothing has been a success in my fixing it process.
Just to make sure I pulled another game: Civilization 5. Same here, without the message, runs fine on HD 4000 but doesnt launch on High Performance hd 7670m.

In device manager, the card is locked as "working perfectly" and there seems to be no problem with the driver, iv uninstalled and installed it several times, even using the older driver I was using during Windows 8.0 times.

How can I solve this expert Problem, any ideas?

I have also to mention that I have installed Direct X and all other stuff as C++ etc., so no suggestions in that direction please! This seems to be a more very simpel but somehow supercomlicated Issue with a very simpel solve, but somehow i fail to see it.

Hi

I would run SFC /scannow to see if the issue persists. May be registry related.
