Will GPU Usage go up when i change monitor?

Hey guys smile.gif.
I currently use a hanns-g HW191A 1440x900 monitor and i will be changing to a 1080p one. My fps in bf4 are quite good but gpu usage is like 60-80% mostly.
Will going to 1080p increase that value so it can work at mostly 90%+? I know there will be a big fps hit but if gpu usage rises it won't be that bad i guess..so will it happen?

Specs in sig.

Yes, the GPU will be working harder to power the higher resolution, so it will likely increase in your case. It isn't that way in all cases, because with Vsync off the GPU should be working at max all the time anyway, but it appears that you are CPU limited (based on the low GPU usage) so increasing the resolution will push more load to the GPU and reduce the CPU limitation.

You may or may not see a FPS hit, depending on how much your CPU is holding you back - your minimums now are defined by your CPU so as long as the GPU can power 1080p at higher speeds than that you won't see any difference, but if your GPU starts lagging then you'd get lower frame rates.

Doesn't happen in all games but in heavy cpu multiplayer ones like battlefield(bf3 has better usage though). I guess i5 3570k isn't enough for those.
