ASUS Is not being my friend.

Ok so this goes along with the Lack of RMA threads i see an how many people have issues with support from asus an here is my own findings an issue.

I called ASUS today as i have now 3 Maximus IV Extreme-z boards an not one will work. i have used different cpu's an bios an ram, videocards, powersupply even different keyboards for that matter.

board one i called asus over the problem an they gave me the run around on it so i took a hammer to it so no other person would have to be plagued by the bad product. the second is now on my wall waiting its fate RMA or hammer. third board kinda works an this is the one i want to talk about.

Issue post code d5 no boot.

now i have the newest bios 3603 an found this board will not Run 4gb or 8gb ram sticks no matter what i do. or the slot i use. Now before you guys start the whole are you sure its good ram B.S. yes all the 2gb/4gb sticks are straight from the Mighty SR2 setup im typing you now on. the 8gb ram works fine in the Z77 board i have so the ram is good. now anyone here have any idea on what it could be???

The poor asus support person i talked to did not even know the difference between an i5 or i7 cpu so as you can tell this was making my blood boil very fast. 2nd i gave him every number off the board an he said they cant find that board in the system so again blood pressure going up.

Next I get put on hold for ever an then he comes back an has me read every ram stick to him an looks them up on the supported page. an sees all ram is supported.

Im very happy for you guys that have had zero issue with asus an for those like me that have had these problems i hope your like me an stop buying from them.

LIST OF BAD DOA MOBO'S i have had.

P6T6 ws Revo HANGING ON MY WALL OF SHAME
P6T6 ws Revo sent back for DOA
P6T6 ws Revo sent back for DOA
Z77 MVE ENDED UP GETTING KINDA WORKING ONE SOLD
Z77 MVG did get good one after that. STILL HAVE WAITING FATE
Z68 M4E-z BAD TOOK HAMMER TO IT
z68 M4E-z KINDA WORKS WAITING ON FATE
z68 M4E-z WORKS ONLY WITH 2GB RAM STICKS WAITING FATE
X79 R4F DID GET KINDA WORKING ONE ALWAYS HAVE TO HARD RESET BEFORE IT BOOTS RIGHT
P5N WENT OUT TO TRASH
M4N98TD EVO DID get good one later. SOLD

So yea lot of money down the drain.

SO back the the problem at hand. What is causing this M4E-z to only work with 2GB ram sticks.

That sucks. But when you have so many failures from a single company, shouldn't you switch brands?

ASUS really need to step up their game. Gigabyte has been solid for me. Never once did I have a failure from them.thumb.gif
