Why do i get worse result with 780 sli in bf4 than without? - Page 2

That explains why it works on BF3, Metro, Crysis2 but not BF4. I'm launching BF4 64bit.

I'll have to experiment and see if it works if I launch the 32bit executable.

Recording with fraps stops all the framerate dips and stuttering. It's a matter of locking your framerate, we just have to figure out how to do it. MSI Afterburner worked for solving this issue I had with FC3, doesn't seem to work with BF4 though.

FIXED:

Try playing the game in 32-bit mode, and, use MSI Afterburner to limit FPS. I just got rid of 100% of my stuttering and FPS dips. I'm locked at 92fps now.

One thing I've noticed and wondered if you guys were seeing the same........................

No frame limiter (not even vsync enabled) seems to work for me on BF4. I've tried eVGA PrecisionX, MSI Afterburner, nVidiaInspector and even the latest release of RivaTunerStatisticsServer.

I've got an older 24" Acer 1920x1200 monitor that runs up to 75Hz flawlessly and I cap my game frame rates at 74 on every other title I regularly play. But no matter what I try with BF4 the FPS will max out at whatever the video cards will push. I don't have any screen tearing problems that I can discern, but running the frame rates at maximum really pushes up the heat and noise on my SLi cards.

The frame rate cap appears to be working for about 3 to 4 minutes into the game and then it just ramps up and never settles back down. This has happened on every GeForce driver I've tried from 314.22 up to the 331.65 and even tried multiple revisions of the 3rd party programs like PrecisionX, Afterburner, RTSS etc.

You can try Dxtory if you want to run 64 bit. I am not sure that it will work but worth a shot.

Playclaw5 works on 32/64bit clients, I'm also having extremely low fps in games with EVGA GTX 780s w/ACX cooler that I OCed.

Good to know Im not alone here, Just picked BF4 on the Black Friday Special and performance is terrible, Hell of stuttering and lag playing multiplayer (havent played campaign yet) the problem happens with SLI enabled, as of now using 331.82 WHQL drivers, disabling SLI helps a bit, stuttering not noticeable or none, but pretty frustrating.

playing at 1440p vsync off

I noticed the GPU usage drops dramatically with SLI enabled and almost none with only one card.
