Small media PC for TV as an alternative for a digital receiver.

So i want to build a tidy little PC for streaming Tv online from site like BBC iPlayer and Hulu etc for my living room. I will be hooking it up to my 32" HD Tv and using it to replace SKY box. I will not be the only one using it, my less computer savvy family will also be using it. Has anyone got any recommendations on cases, what sort of GPU ill need to run a higher resoloutions and what sort of external hardware to use ( i am thinking a touch pad, i know logitech offer several)

I want to keep it as user friendly and dedicated to the one function as possible. I am not sure if there is anything on the market which is like a Tv remote to use with it but that would be ideal.

Does anyone currently use anything like this ( i plug one of my rigs in time to time but its not quite what i am after)

i appolgoise if there is stuff on this topic already, i couldn't find much with the search.I assume because its a small purpose built Pc this is the correct place for the topic

Any and all info welcome.

That seem almost perfect and that remote is great too. I will definitely consider this as an option.

Cheers
