Shadowplay Recording

Thread Starter
Sorry if the Title seems a bit unclear. I was wanting to do a review on Call of Duty Ghosts and I wanted to use Shadowplay. I wanted to know whether or not shadowplay works with recording from the desktop itself to show system specs and then move into the game? While playing and recording is it possible to use the mic to talk while shadowplay is recording?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Jay

Shadowplay seems to only capture the game in fullscreen mode, so no you wouldn't be able to capture the desktop

I believe it only captures the system audio currently, so it wouldn't pickup your mic since its not being "replayed" over the system audio. You could record audio with something like audacity, then use that audio track in editing.

OBS would probably solve these needs, and for performance you could try enabling QuickSync to get hardware accelerated encoding.

Hopefully Nvidia makes Shadowplay better, but it will probably be used mostly as a OMG I can save those great moments.

Thanks. Setting the mic's playback device to the speakers solved it and helped me record my voice along with the in game audio.

Did you do this by going to Sound Properties > Recording > *select mic* > Properties > Listen and changing the bit where it says "Playback Through This Device" ?
