Actually my 800mhz PIII is faster in some stuff than my 1.8ghz Athlon(not lots of stuff, but some).
i think a 5.0Ghz PIII would be like a 6.5 ghz PIV IMO.
Yes, a lot of people know that. However, it is important to note, Core is based on the best features of Centrino and PIII. It is not a decedent of either.
