That is retail price. This is the 290, not the 290x.

OP is trying to say, it's a fair price for a card that performs on the same level as the 780. But correct, this is a not a deal.

it's worth posting these threads because, from what i've heard, the auto-notification system is rubbish and the 290 and 290X's sell quick. You really need to jump on these quick if you want them.

hey guys.. out of curiosity.. is it better to simply buy reference design (like the card in this post) if your going to use it with a watercooling bracket anyways? no point in getting one with aftermarket cooler correct? or are the ones with aftermarket cooler ALSO filled with other goodies sometimes like voltage unlocked?

only high end cards like Lightning, matrix, ETC... would have more OC/voltage room...they would be way more expensive... buy the best binned(highest clocked card)
