Is this correct?

This dude at another forums tells me that running

1. E6300 at 2.6ghz/1.369 volts /533 ram 33c idle
"because of the oc I had to lower it to 533"

2. E6300 at 2.1ghz/1.325 volts /800 ram 31c idle

He told me number 2 is better because it uses 800 ddr2 ram and C2d are memory bandwith hogs so which is truly better? I know I asked this before but is 1.369 volts safe for a E6300 I want this cpu to last more than a year.

Well with both those Voltages your CPU is fine...There bot well within limits mate.

The 800DDR Will actually give you more overclocking headroom and yes more bandwidth. Intel CPU;s especially th C2D do benefit from the Extra bandwidth. Personally I go for the second one.

well see I have ddr2 800 in this rig well as you can see in my spec but to get it to 2.6 I have to lower the system memory freq to 533 or in wont boot. Well maybe when I get to 2gigs it will perform better games at 2.6 my 3dmark06 score is 5939 at 2.1 it is 5631. Do you think when more dual core games come out I will have any problems with games with this rig + 1g more ram?
I havent tried ST:Legacy again yet with my 650 Prescott it ran fine but I will have to see with this one.

I guess I'll take both of your guys advice at stay at 2.1 running at 800

why not run at 2.8, set your ram to 1:1
400 fsb, 400 ram = 400 * 7 = 2.8ghz which still gets you 800 ram and a better overclock
1.34-1.37 volts should do it, just set your ram divider to the lowest setting
