Hwmonitor socket/cpu temps help please!!

So I got hw monitor as it shows all my temps and one thing worries me is the cpu temp the socket temp or is my cpu temp the amd fx8350 package temp? Also what is tmpin1??

Can someone please tell me so I can continue overclocking without frying my chip frown.gif the Fx8350 package reads at 56c which is good for me but the cpu temps which I'm not sure if it is the cpu socket but it says 72c!! which is way too high for me.

I would recommend to check the core temp using the AMD Overdrive or the Core Temp.

When i use coretemp it gives me the sametemps found under FX 8350 Packages in this picture which one is the socket and which is the cpu temp I've always used coretemp just wanted to use something new and was asking because my asus suite ii says the same temps under Temperature>Cpu 72c

The Asus Probe doesn't show the core temps most likely.

AMD recommends the Core Temp and AMD Overdrive.

Yeah i guess fx 8350 packages is the cpu temp and the other is the socket thanks amd overdrive looks good ima use it from now on
