If I go with the reference R9 290x rather then the DCii for example would there be any deference as I would be removing the cooler the card comes with and installing a full board Water Block such as EKs?

i know that the blocks available in the market rightnow (if you can find one, that is) are meant for the reference design. it is always easier to find blocks for them. in short, if you are watercooling the gpu - get the reference.

ordered my block last Friday and I don't think it will come first before my card that i ordered last Sunday, which is due to arrive on the 11th.

fyi, the ek block fits both 290 and 290X.

edit: whichever gpu you get, you got to watercool. it ain't cool if the gpu is not in the loop.

May I ask which one you ordered? I see there are like 4 to chose from, but I do not see the "EN" version I would like to order.

Where Can I find the "ASUS" R9 290X
it appears to be unavailable every where and New Egg has 2 listings, one is not in stock and the other is a "pre-release" when will it be available what does this mean, and how do I pre-order it?
Is it any better then the other brand R9 290X's? or should I just go for a Sapphire witch is the only one available?
