Anyway, I was thinking of putting a skinny piece of cardboard between the cards for two reasons.
1 to separate card one's intake from being pulled out of the case by the door fans
2 to prevent card two's exhaust from going into card one

It would look ghetto, but hey, function over form.

Thanks smile.gif

EDIT: Not sure if i follow, from what i understood seems unnecessary, but go ahead try.

Yea i'm lost haha.

You might want to reconsider the bottom fan, I'd try that one as the inside fan first. Reason being is, the bottom fans turn your system into a vacuum cleaner. I did find it helped temps though.

Come to think about it, That bottom fan may be blowing air to the bottom GPU but It definitely keeps the PSU from getting any air. But then again i don't know if it has any sort of vents on the inside (the PSU).

Edit:I noticed you haven't filled in your System specs. Right now we can easily speculate since its a fan/chassis topic. but if you ever have hardware questions regarding to your system It would save every time and trouble.

In all honesty when i see a new post asking about something hard ware related with their system with their system specs empty i just leave. I'm sure i'm not the only one who does this.

2 matrix in CF on air is a nightmare the top card will nearly touch the bottom one , you can get one matrix and one toxic or just 2 toxic.

i have a 7970 matrix and i m gonna add a 280x toxic because another matrix with waterblock would just be too much weight for the mobo and they are really wide nearly 50% more then other so make sure you will be able to fit the side fan with the matrix in , in my Haf-x with teh waterblock on , i add to remove the sidefan to close it

So I should definitely go with toxics? To my understanding the toxic and matrix perform just about even, but I personally like the matrix more.

I used the rigbuilder the first day I joined ocn, I just don't know how to add my rig to my signature.

if you gonna put some water block on them matrix are fine but if you want to keep air cooling and go matrix CF , i would make sure to get a 4 way board and use to 2 slot the furthest apart. or use massive air flow or something. and use a powerjack or something to help the card with the 1,5 kg weight.
what i m telling is be sure it fit because they are heavier , wider ,and take more slots then most card

here you can see my 7970 matrix cooler next to a dcuii, the next picture is the matrix wc block next to a dvd case ,last one is inside a Haf-x.

it s a good card and a amazing piece of hardware to hold in your hand , but you just need to be sure it fits in your build specially in cf,....
