Look, I understand that some of you cant comprehend paying big bucks for a card, especially from Nvidia. I also understand that AMD has released 2 new cards that are as fast, if not faster in some situations than what Nvidia is offering. I get that you cant wrap your head around paying "$150 extra for 10%", but you need to realize, its not your money, your time, or your business.

I'm not a fan of either side. I've owned and will own cards from both sides because they each serve a VERY good purpose. If you are an AMD Fan/Nvidia Fan, thats great. It does NO ONE any good to sit in here and try to mock the other side.

Why cant people just accept that not everyone sees everything as they do, and move the F on? Its really not hard. Just be nice and say "wow, thats a nice looking card, but its not for me" or "man that things ugly, but it is fast!".

Its really sad that a group of people who share the same love can be so effing bitter.

I agree with there being no point in all the bitterness, but it's also true that people have every right to complain not only about

(Come on, is that really complaining ?)

, but also the price. It doesn't even matter if the person saying it is an AMD or Nvidia owner at the moment, that may have been different in the past and the signature may not even reflect all the gear a person has, the fact is people are potential customers and have every right to voice their opinion on price, especially given the leaked benchmarks here, for example), people that want to spend the money anyway without saying anything about the price, fine, but please don't pretend to try to stop people from talking about the price. Talking about price is fine, but coming on here and complaining about it isn't going to make them stop charging so much. If you want prices to drop... get the masses to stop buying cards.

What exactly is the difference ? Your previous post is basically an attempt to try to stop people talking about the price. Read your post again, that is what comes across.

And one of the ways to do what you say at the end is to voice our opinion on price. And act accordingly, of course. I still don't understand your stance. You just seem to be upset people are not acritical of the price Nvidia has announced.

No, you aren't.

There is going to be a 6GB and 12GB version of the GTX 780Ti. Obviously they will cost more, but if you NEED it (and odds are, unless you are running 3 "normal" displays or 2 4K displays, you won't, even for BF4), you will have to pay for it.

I too would like 100%, but that is another issue. It's a lot better than it once was, but it still has a ways to go (same with Crossfire ... of course, I haven't done Crossfire since the days when I had 2 HD4870x2 video cards in Quad-Fire).

As far as Windowed Mode, it all depends on how you use your computer. For me, it's a deal breaker. For others, it many not be. There is no "one size fits all" solution.

New and fast things cost money. Doesn't matter if it's video cards or cars. It holds true.

In 1985, a Ferrari 308GTB cost $40,800 ($88,962 today), and was quiet the car. Today, you can get a nearly mint version of that car (14k miles) for $45k. If you don't mind one with 65k miles, you can have it for $20k. Is that car any slower today than it was in 1985? Nope.

Early adopters ALWAYS pay more.

If you can't afford it, you can always wait ... prices WILL drop. Just look at what happened with the GTX 780's, now at $499, and even the Classified at $579. This WILL happen again, even to the GTX 780Ti, either when a 780TI Classified comes out, or CERTAINLY when the GTX 800 series comes out.

You can also buy used when the GTX 800's come out. You can bet people will be unloading even this card for cheap in less than 6 months.

Like the Ferrari, the card won't be any slower in 6 months than it is today, but it WILL be cheaper.

$550, $600, $700, and $1000 video cards aren't for everyone. Heck, most people don't even bother with $300 video cards. The $700+ video card segment is just like the $250,000+ "super car" segment in the auto industry. Sure a Bughatti Vyron is faster (and more expensive) than even a 28 year old Ferrari 308GT, but they are still BOTH faster than a 2013 Toyota Camery.

For me 699 $ isn't too bad..
I bought my 780 at 499 $ and didn't scrape the codes for the games which I need, I have then returned it for the 780 Ti though.
So 699 $ - 150 $(3 games) = 549 $ which is the same as a 290X I paid for.

How is the 290x performing?
