I ordered 2x Sapphire R9-290 and returned my 2x XFX DD R9-280x. Those 280x's gave me tremendous problems in Crossfire. Each card individually worked great, but once you'd put them in crossfire, forget about it. Immediate freezing as soon as any gpu intensive game or benchmark would start.

It sad because I've had XFX in the past and had no problems with them at all. I guess it was due to the fact that they were reference XFX 6970's. I've had 2x Sapphire 4850's, 4870x2 and 5850's. So, I went with them this time for the top dogs.

I just got my Sapphire 290 today! Previously I had a Sapphire 7950 Vapor-X and had no problems with it.
