bf3 gtx 770 144hz monitor average fps

Planning to wait to buy a new video card on black friday. I bought my 5970 2 years ago that way and will be upgrading then to get as close as possible to 144fps. Currently I have a 144hz 1080p monitor and game bf3 at 120fps average on everything set to low. I'm sticking with gtx cards because of the physx and the ability for my monitor to use strobing to make bf3 even smoother.

When turning down all setting in bf3, what is your fps average on a 770 at 1080P?

You will never hold steady FPS that high on BF3, especially with a FX 8 core.
The engine is really CPU limited when you have a large enough graphics sub system.

When i stopped playing BF3 i ended on a GTX 480, i always averaged around 60-75FPS, and i played at 75hz.

Mixed High/Low/Ultra settings with some FXAA at 1080p.

So what you are saying is, by getting an even faster video card, my performance is going to get worse?
Get a second 770. you wont regret it. I went from a single 670 to two 670s and they get 100-130+fps on most maps with everything on ultra (im using 144hz as well). Playing with everything on low should be able to get you decent framerate with a single card though.

No, I think he means that getting a faster card is not going to do you much good when your CPU is holding you back. That and the statement that battlefield is rather hard to hold a stable fps on any CPU in multiplayer.

If you are on an Asus or BenQ monitor with Lightboost strobing then you will only need to attain 120fps (Lightboost only goes up to 120Hz). You gain much more from strobing than you would from 24 extra Hz non-strobed afaik.

So my 5970 will be equal to or faster than a 770, but I'll be able to do lightboost and also have the extra horsepower in the card to do physx??

Your 5970 is equal to a OC'd GTX 580.

I think I answered my own question, my 5970 with my 8350 CPU.according to the chart, I will be getting a spst by upgrading to a GTX 770, which is even faster than the GTX 680 at medium quality with no AA and 4 af, the GTX 680 was getting 153fps. That is way above the 144 or 120 I need to do the light boost hack. .

I think this was the first benchmark I have ever seen that ran bf3 on the opposite end of the spectrum. Instead of writing it on Ultra, it ran it on the low settings possible to see how the FX 8350 and a GTX 680 handle bf3.

later, if I need more speed, II can go SLI
and push my speed 2 190 fps on medium or get it to around 140 with high graphics
