It does feel like a bit of Mass Effect 3 multiple ending copying and pasting.

However, if they intended it to be for the most die hard of fans, I could understand it. Its the only part of the game really like that.

IW does this all the time. Remember how one of the big warehouses from the COD4 map "Pipeline" was straight copied-and-pasted into a MW3 single-player mission and some people tried to claim it was "homage?"

No, that's not even a way to pay homage at all. It's just cutting corners and nothing more.

Infinity Ward does a lot of things I don't agree with, this isn't one of them, honestly. I see nothing wrong with tying the previous to the most recent like this. Obviously they weren't doing it to be shady, as it is a direct copy.

Think of it like a T.V. episode, when one starts it shows what happen at the end of the previous, to queue people in to the happenings.

My problem with the game is mission 17, Loki. You go into SPACE, with a GUN, to shoot space soldiers from an unidentified country in Latin America. Modern gunpowder does work in a vacuum, so that isn't a problem, but:

1) There is no friction in space, so the force propelling a bullet forwards is equal to the force propelling you backwards
2) The regenerating health we all know and love is still there, even though one hole in your suit should lead to your lungs quickly collapsing and you quickly dying
3) For some reason, you can control your movement very easily. Astronauts have very large visors because turning your head in space can lead to issues known as "spinning"
4) There is a BREACHING CHARGE used to enter the gun control center at the very end of the mission (before you use the magic of orbital bombardment on the bad guys). Explosions are basically sound - a pressure wave compresses the air in front which is powerful enough to rip through targets. There is no air in low-Earth orbit. :. Explosives have minimal effect

That's a lot worse than recycling an animation. Just look at the reload animations. They have like five for all of the assault rifles ever. I'm not sure how accurate that is, but it's practically all reused, and we all know it. I see no reason to care, actually, and we don't know if this is supposed to be homage or just laziness. I think that a mission even Michael Bay would call over-the-top is a much more glaring issue.

2) is obviously a matter of gameplay vs. reality. A single bullet would also incapacitate you on Earth in reality yet rarely does so in games. It's a sacrifice you have to make to get fun gameplay.

4) I think you're wrong about. Explosions do not work simply by moving air. Explosions create a sudden, massive buildup of gas which has to go somewhere. It goes where there is least resistance and if the pressure is high enough that may mean through walls because that is still easier than all of it having to escape the other way.
The pressure buildup in space is still immense even if there's nothing around it. It doesn't need air (a combination of gases) because it creates it's own gas. I'm not a physicist and I don't know much about modern breaching charges, but it is not at all implausible that it would work. Reduced effect, but still a huge effect.

You just agreed that modern ammunition works in space, right? How? You detonate the gunpowder which in turn creates gas (i.e. an explosion...) which propels the bullet. I think this logic applies to a breaching charge as well.
