Avago 3090 4000 DPI ROM is NOT a valid gaming mouse sensor - Please release a firmware update to save the Kana V2 - Page 31

I disagree about the comments about the Bios suggestions suggested by r0ach. I've used his Bios guide and it's a pretty significant latency reduction that even my mum could notice the difference on the desktop. Maybe 1 setting won't make the diffference, but all the options do add up.

I'm on BenQ 144hz LCD, mice tested were SS kinzu, Zowie FK and Avior 7000.

Also mice are a very subjective thingy. Whatever works for you is great...and sometimes ignorance is bliss smile.gif

While I'm in the believer camp, I do not think these tweaks/pixel perfect mice will make the difference turning you into a "pro" player. If you suck/are average, you will still remain that way with all these tweaks/setup.

It's not that there are no BIOS tweaks that work. For example, stuff like EIST and HPET I can see the case for them making a slight difference. But the majority of r0ach's settings, if they even had any effect at all, would be so small that they would be impossible to perceive, especially with any conviction, due to both biological and hardware limitations.

If everything netted you an average reduction of 10 µs DPC latency, and DPC latency directly correlated with mouse movement (haven't looked that up), that is just 1/100th of a millisecond.

Thing like hardware timer HPET surely makes difference or dynamic cpu frequency/powersaving options.
Dont get confused with dpc latency, it only shows dcp latency not other, just a way to see if you have some bad things enabled.

About sensor latency from Skylit, I think he knows more about mice than all people here:

It wont affect most playstyles, only if you try to "aimbot" between multiple targets then you will affect you.

I've used the 1.1A extensively and it absolutely cannot be my primary mouse due to lacking PCS. I find the Avior just about as responsive.

And i tought im the one with problems,i have changed in last year 4mobos,3 processors, about 10 difrent brand and tipes off mouses and nothing,i can feel a strange lag in all off the movements, and i realy dont know how to get rid off it,and i can confirm that every single thing i change like, ram speed or procesor oc again the mouse movement is difrent, before i was having a dual core and ddr 2 sistem, but everyting worked perfectly, right now i have a RIVAL and a Xai,i can confirm that the smoothnes is also strong in the rival .

cm storm alcor feels VERY responsive for a 4000dpi srom mouse, just got mine and it seems to be just as good as a 500hz IME 3.0 sitting right next to it, just a bit smaller + 3 cd LOD smile.gif

I got my Kana v2 today... been playing with it all afternoon and I really don't know what r0ach is talking about.

I've also used a G400 and a DeathAdder, which has the sensor he says he likes best, the S3668, and I can't really feel any significant difference between the 3 in terms of tracking. Sure, the S3668 feels different compared to the 3090, I guess you could say it's snappier... but seriously, I barely notice any difference at all. The Kana v2 feels very responsive and I can say that overall it's hands down the best mouse I've personally used.

Maybe if I had something like a KinzuAdder (or ideally a KanaAdder v2) I could compare the two sensors better, because the DeathAdder has a very different shape/weight... but I'm really happy with the performance of the Kana v2 (thought it was going to be a lot worse when I read r0ach's post... wackosmiley.gif).
