Weight limit of TX-10V

Thread Starter
Say, is there a known weight limit for the TX10-V? And can the top chamber hold about 140 lbs or so?
We haven't established a maximum weight for a TX10 although I have seen a few with at least 300 lbs of gear in them. At that point I would ditch the standard casters and move up to the SD caster platform (or make your own). If you do plan to add a lot of weight to the case, try to keep it in the lower chamber and/or pedestal.

Planning on sleeping in it? tongue.gif

I would love to, except I am putting all the water cooling in the bottom and power supply side, with dual UPS battery backups up top, each weighing 70lbs. I'd get a single UPS and power supply, but that would require rewiring the place I'm renting, so..
I would still keep the weight low in the case and put the WC up on top, but you must have your reasons for doing it that way wink.gif As long as you don't plan on moving the case a lot, you'll probably be ok ( a big top-heavy system is likely to get a case of the "wiggles" when it's moved). It would probably be a good idea to find a way to distribute the load. Even something as simple as a piece of plywood would do the job.

I don't move it alot, and I have most of the water cooling components in their own section in case of leaks. I'd rather not have a leak in the rad and have it drip down into the mobo chamber or over various cables.
Of course you should build your system in whatever way you feel is best, but the TX10 was designed specifically to minimize the risk of radiator leaks. There are no openings from the upper chamber directly over the MB chamber for that reason wink.gif
