Too bad the 8800GTX is so much larger than the GTS. I wish it was the same so I could flash that BIOS.

Nonetheless that is pretty nice, but what does it do for you other than change the name?

In a sense yes, although with half the texture ram (no biggy). We need more ppl testing this out really, and what are your GPU temps? Plus run 3DMark05/06 and show us your previous scores before and after flash

clock speed change and afcourse owning a 7900GTX is much cooler to tell my friends heheh they have 6600GT and S3 Trio something lol

plain stupid, just to change the name? I mean changing BIOS of a card can only bring up troubles, I wouldn't do it lol, and where should I get the BIOS for my card lol? Nothing's better than a 8800 gtx right now lol

ok i got a little over exided rebooted and the power connector was connected correctly and when i tryd 3DMark06 system would lockup
changed the core from 650/1600 to 550/1600 and it works perfect now
just did 3DMark06 and the score is 3882 dont know remember what my score before was but i think it was around 2600 Marks core was 51°C after test
and dont forget my cpu is bottleneck and i am using a PCIe 4x slot

Yeah I'm not understanding the whole point to this either. You flashed a 7900GTX BIOS to a 7900GT? And the only result is higher default core and memory speeds. Which you could've easily gotten by just OCing your card anyways?

so why do people even buy a 7900GTX when u could get this overclocking anyhow now i can fool people in realy having a 400€ 7900GTX instead of a 200€ 7900GT not that i am going to skam people just fool some friends lol
