The PSU you bought is old and its voltage regulation is not very impressive

Its also overkill the 775 watts version would have been more then enough

At least ripple is not over 40mv on the 12v rail

In this case the XFX Core Edition has better voltage regulation so that i what i would have picked

80 plus is marketing hype

I could not find the XT 775 model on eiher edbpriser or pricerunner nor the usual online shops I buy from.

It may be older than the others, but the reviews are still very positive about it.

Yup Jonnyguru is defintely the best site for PSU reviews - but unfortunately they can't review them all.

As far as flawless PSU's I haven't really seen any one of those as such yet. But ofcourse you do pay premium price for some of the best in the business.

The EVGA SuperNova P2 has the best ripple that i have seen

The Antec High Current Pro Platinum has the best voltage regulation that i have seen

If someone could combine the two you would have a flawsless PSU

Of those two i like the EVGA better as its not overpriced like the Antec

And really something like 0.5% voltage regulation is not that big of a deal
