NV can obviously charge whatever the hell they want and that's cool, but i'm a consumer and i'm not looking out for shareholders and investors when I buy a card. Who the hell cares about that crap as a consumer? Seriously. Give me a break.
That is because you aren't looking at the "Bigf Picture". You SHOULD care about stock holders. Why, because without INVESTORS willing to put money into a company FIRST to design things and get them to market so that way down the line people can PAY THE MONEY BACK, a product will never get made ... certainly not a product like video cards, that COST a ton of money to design and manufacture and often are bought and not paid for for 30 days (or more if they used a credit card) AFTER it is delivered ... much less built.
Bottom line is yes, you are a CONSUMER, and one of the many who have no idea of the COSTS involved with bringing a product to market. Hell, I've been helping to design hardware and software for the TV News and Airborne Law Enforcement sectors for over 25 years now, and ever since I became an officer of the company and actually get to look at all sides of what it takes to run a company that produces technology, it has been an eye opening experience ... and what we do is relatively tiny compared to what both nVidia and AMD do!
But to discount total COSTS and ignore the role that shareholders play is down right SILLY.
