random reboot loops, gets to various stages (ram/usb/video) - Page 3

Update:

Tried a known-good psu in it, hasn't made a difference at all, speaker is still giving occasional power supply problem warning, sometimes booting up okay generally quite a lot of reboots- it's never at the same time though it can be quite random (it always was)

It's also started up a new thing (since yesterday) of occasionally booting into the bios for some reason...

So... Does this mean it's the motherboard?

I could plug it into a friends hard drive and try boot it from that.. Would it be okay if I just unplugged (both) hard drives and plugged in another one or do I have to do anything specific?

Cheers for the help so far.

Switched back to the original psu, turned it on, it started powering up, realised I'd been a derp and not plugged in the h80 so instantly turned it off (after a second or two) then turned it on again but nothing happened... I even tried unplugging the h80 again and nothing frown.gif

It won't do anythinggggg frown.gif I don't know what to do! frown.gif help!!!

Sounds like a dead motherboard. If you have the patience to try one more thing, I'd reseat the CPU. Sometimes when put everything together and speed through the seating of the CPU you can get quite a headache later.

Also if the machine shuts itself off, and then won't turn back on, try a power cycle. Unplug the AC from the PSU and hold down the power switch for 10-15 seconds until all motherboard lights go off. Try plugging in AC and booting after that, may at least get you back to posting.
