AC IV : 30 fps at max details @1600p with a 780ti - Page 4

This is bad news, but I will never understand the issues people had with AC3. I had stuttering when I approached new areas, but maxed with 4xMSAA on a single 680 at 1440p, I was pulling 60 FPS for the most part. Was pretty optimized for me...

Hope they work on this. Although, it is most likely a marketing gimmick -___-

I actually also ran AC3 pretty smoothly (there was some areas in the cities that dropped to 30's but otherwise it was fine, with every option on the highest, I think AA was on high or medium).

I actually bought this game for the Xbox 360 too because I couldn't wait for my game to unlock the 22. It doesn't look too bad for a console game, but man, the aliasing and the weird shadows and those textures..I hope this will be playable in high'ish settings on my rig biggrin.gif

Dual core cpu, 2gb ram and gtx 760 gave me around 30 fps - 1600x900, highest settings.
I got serious lag, 15 fps and below in Boston only.

AC 3 ran perfect on my 680. I think the main issue with the AC games is that they don't have an SLI profile built for them. AFAIK, AC3 didn't get a performance increase with an additional card. Can't wait for this one to come out smile.gif

Haha, if I ever get wealthy enough to afford a rig that can max games out at 4K, well actually wealthy enough to afford a 4K monitor to begin with, I will probably keep my 1080p sitting around for those really horribly optimized games. Then again, it will probably still look stunning on 4K, even at settings a little lower than max. There is always that 'one' setting on most AC games that cause the frames to tank and add little effect. I can't remember exactly, but I believe it was either tessellation or some higher-res shadow setting that caused it to crawl.

This could be why performance isn't that great:

Please note, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag was tested using a pre-release build that has yet to undergo final optimization. Additionally, a GeForce GTX Game Ready driver will be released shortly before the game’s launch to further optimize performance.

Wonder why the used a game that has not even released yet in the benchmark but kept BF3 in instead of benching BF4
