I have over 200steam games with maybe in total 5issues, most that required a simple file delete. (clientregistry.blob thingie)
With Origin i have 5games NONE that had no broken install which required me to google to a solution and required moving files around on my PC.
Lets not even talk about GFWL that just loves to delete your save games or is stuck in an update loop for all eternity. I know people that could literally never play a GFWL game because the update loop was unfixable.
I have about 200 games on steam as well, been using it since 2006ish. I've had one
issue, and it turns out it was a known issue with the game's engine itself, and not directly
Origin, only one of my 15 or so games on it has been "flawless". The remaining 14 either don't work AT ALL, or work sporadically and/or require constant fixes/reinstalls. Never mind the fact that origin itself constantly crashes and is riddled with bugs.
Uplay has given me the occasional issue. Nothing major, but then the only
games I've played on it are the Assassin's Creed titles (not including the newest one), so my sample size is probably too small to be meaningful there.\
And then theres GFWL... That horrible pile has not only broken the games it was attached to, but rendered them incapable of being installed on my computer due to BS about by key being invalid, etc. Absolutely no way to resolve it. It also has a nice tendency to screw with your hard drive. You know, deleting and corrupting files just cause
. Totally awesome.Edited by Zero4549 - 11/7/13 at 6:47pm
