[GN] Microsoft on PC gaming: “we lost our way”, promises a better future - Page 4

Windows Vista:
We <3 PC gamers we are going to make this awesome game DX10 and PC (Alan Wake)
Halo 2 is a Vista Exclusive, 2.5 years later

Windows 7:
Games are awesome, we are totally going to be awesome for you guys.
No major Microsoft Studio game comes out. No exclusives and none of the big Xbox games come out on PC

Window 8:
We still love you guys. Just wait for xbone 1 to be awesome for you guys!

Broken record Microsoft. Vista came out 7 years ago tomorrow. Still waiting on those promises.

This! I would personally prefer Steam, or even better, simply no DRM platform

I do not know about the rest of you guys, however I have feeling that perhaps this is Microsoft trying to keep the users from thinking outside the box and advert away from the dependency we have created for the company named "Microsoft." Many of us Windows users need Windows OS to run our games and rigs. Microsoft is noticing however, slowly we are developing alternatives and they don't want to lose out on the OS front along with Phones and Tablets. Thoughts?

Forza on PC, that would be a good start.

The only reason this is happening is because of valve's Linux push. Windows didn't have a competitor for gaming until now, and for the first time in awhile Microsoft see's something coming before it's already happened. I still think whatever they try to do will be underwhelming and over restrictive. If they really want to get some love from PC gamers they need to release their games for all modern windows OS's on the steam marketplace. By that I mean Windows Vista and up. If its windows 8 and windows marketplace only they shouldn't even bother.
