Need some overclocking help..

Thread Starter
I'm trying to overclock my opty 165 and i'm having trouble with a couple of things and I can't get it past 2.25 here are the specs:
Opty 165 CCBBE steppings
XMS Corsair 3200 C2 PRO Memory 1G
DFI LanpartyUT nF4 SLI-DR Expert
Antec Truepower trio 650W PS

it's at FSB=250*9 and Vcore=1.62/121%; Vdimm=3.01; Vdd=1.75

My timings are on auto and I can't seem to find the CPU/Memory ratio option

If anybody knows more about my mobo I would a appreciate the help thanks!

Yes, you need to gain access to your memory options in the Bios as you'll need to run your ram on a divider. You need to go into the "Dram configuration"

Btw your Vcore is awfully high that needs to be lowered for sure (but i think you made a mistake and that's actually your chipset voltage, which is fine), the Vdimm seems a little steep to me....

This may help you though

Cooling? Temps? Devider?

My cooling and temps are fine but I just can't find the CPU/Memory ratio on my DFI lanparty. I know it has it but I don't know what they call it, and what would be some good timings for my ram?

The opertons run like crap when they get warm ...you start hitting 48+ then ya get unstable...so I agree 1.6 on that cpu is a little much...I run mine at 2.85 24/7 on 1.4vcore

ok I changed my voltage back down to 1.4 and my cpu is at 30-31c now and found they RAM/CPU ratio option and put it at 1/1 and tried to up my CL to 4 but wouldn't boot up right, then tried CL 2 and it didn't working either so I'm still at a wall with 260*9. Does anyone else use my ram with success? I might just have to test each component individually but I should be able to get better than this!

Put your memory on a divider, then try - I'd be suprised if your memory could go much higher than 260mhz

you want your ram to run at either 333 or 266 depending on how high you oc the cpu. not sure for your board but the asus nf4 doesnt have a divider option, instead you set ram speed.

with your stepping and corsair pro ram you should be able to hit 2.8
start at 2.7 and test for stability. use these settings:
300Mhz x 9multiplier@ stock 1.35v (1.36 if no post) = 2700 Mhz
set the htt multiplier to 3x (or use auto setting)
ram at 2.5-3-3-6 @2.8-3.0v (tighten to 2-3-3-6)if successful
use the 266 setting if 333 doesnt post (keep ram at about 200Mhz timing =DDR400)
goodluck

I can't find anything that would show where I can set my ram speed or a divider. And I also can't find the HTT option. I have and option of LDT/CPU ratio, is that anything?
