sell BF4 , profit.

R9 280 (Tahiti Pro / HD7950) isn't on the list so we don't know if/when that will come.

R9-270X seems like a big scam though given the pricing... screwed over early adopters (at least the ones that didn't buy severely upgraded versions like MSI R9 270X HAWK) for sure.

If this R9 270 move is any indication, the R9 280 could end up being a 925mhz/1375mhz Tahiti XTL, or basically a more efficient re-spin of the original 7970.

Hopefully this means they are going to up the ante on the 270x. I know, that sounds nuts and would be a slap in the face to the early adopters, but the only difference between the 270 and the X variant, is clock speeds....

Perhaps they are going to update that with more SPU's?
I think they are just not sure what they want to do with the mid range cards and are having an internal conflict lol.

The problem is they announced R9-270X before GTX 660 price drop

http://www.anandtech.com/show/7401/nvidia-announces-gtx-660-gtx-650-ti-boost-price-cut

The R9 270X does have more power on tap (due to the second power connector), voltage control seems to be standard unlike R9-270 , Elpida memory on all R9 270 non-x

R9 270X (except for MSI R9 270X HAWK which is much more quiet than HD7870 HAWK for some reason, perhaps due to revised cooler) is a hard sell given you can just overclock the HD7870GE aftermarket versions' memory.

edit: plus a GTX 750 TI (GTX 660 TI 256-bit memory) with Batman/Splinter cell game bundle would throw a spanner in the works. It's rumored to be ~5100 Firestrike with 150W TDP (http://videocardz.com/46347/nvidia-geforce-gtx-750-ti-pictured-detailed) so that would put it right against R9 270

I don't know if that's possible given GK106 is 192-bit memory bus, but maybe they cut down a GK104 or something
