Need some help picking out a new graphics card for a friend.

Most of you are probably tired of these kind of threads, but I don't know where else to ask. cryingsmiley.gif

His current specs:
CPU: Intel Core i7 3770k
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX560Ti
PSU: Silver Power 500W
Mobo: ASUS P8Z68 V-PRO GEN-3
Case: CM Storm Scout

So he asked me to help him upgrade his GPU. Basically, he wants the newest Nvidia gen, which is 700. But a 780 is too expensive, so I've been looking at the MSI GeForce GTX 770 Gaming 2GB. It fits his budget, but I'm not sure if it is a worthy upgrade. I tried some googling but honestly, I suck at it so I didn't find much, only varying opinions. There is also another problem; he is unsure if it fits his case, since his current card barely fits and the GTX 770 is about 3cm longer. I also looked at the GTX660 but honestly it is suspiciouly cheap and specs don't seem that good.

Don't judge him, but he doesn't like AMD at all, so he probably won't buy one.

So basically, I'm lost here and I need your help.

If he has enough money for a GTX 770 that would probably be the best bet, with the new nvidia cards around the corner though id wait and see what they bring with price and performance.

Being an ex Nvidia fanboy that bought his first AMD card last month, i can say that AMD really does provide much better value for either the same thing or better. I can tell you that my 3 monitor span setup is much better experience with AMD then i had with nvidia and the drivers for AMD ive found are actually better then my nvidia cards.
