Vcore Higher Than Set Value in Bios and CPU-Z

Thread Starter
So, I'm attempting to do my first overclock with an i5 4670K and a Maximus VI Gene. I'm getting it to boot up and be stable at 4.3GHz, but I'm trying to lower the voltage, and I'm noticing that my Vcore value isn't what I'm trying to set it to be. As an example, I type 1.25 in and it automatically adds an extra amount of voltage to the value. Then when I run Prime95, CPU-Z shows Vcore as 1.28. Have I missed some setting that I should enable/disable?

Also, do I need to mess with LLC or just leave it as auto?

EDIT: Temperature isn't really an issue, as even with the Vcore reading as 1.28 the max temp on any of the cores was 85C. As an add on question, is it worth it/safe to bump the voltage up anymore to try for 4.4-4.5?

Its normal that the vcore in windows while stressing the cpu to go up by 0.02v You cant do anything about it, its the way it works. You can have a look here, Haswell Overclocking, contains much info and you ll probably find all the answers you want.
